Apple TV Keyboard #45

As of 2026.5, Home Assistant has added keyboard support for Apple TV devices, and you can now use this card to send text to Apple TVs! Search is not supported. Sending text to Apple TV requires it's config entry ID, which you can now provide to this card using a new config option in the general tab of the configuration UI.

Other Changes

• Add a config entry field, which will autofill the remote and media player entity ID fields if not already filled and is used for the Apple TV keyboard.
• Show a loading spinner on initial card load if a custom elements file is provided to prevent incorrect actions and styles from being used #286.
• Add wake_on_lan default keys for supported platforms Samsung TV, LG webOS, and Kodi #287.
• Reorder numpad special key to be in order like most remotes, and add dialpad special key which uses the old reversed numpad order #288.
• Update ha-nunjucks to 1.7.6.
