Summary
Patch update — Resume a saved meeting, chat that carries on after Resume, Compare that clears the losing version, and a 9-minute setup film.
What's New
- Resume a meeting — record more into a meeting that has already ended, and it stays one meeting. Resume is on the meeting page for overlay meetings and in the notepad for notepad meetings. At Stop the notes are rewritten to cover the whole meeting.
- Chat carries on after Resume — the overlay reopens with the meeting's earlier answers, so the conversation picks up where it stopped instead of starting empty.
- Same speaker after Resume — someone who talks again after a Resume can come back as a new Speaker N. The meeting page asks "Same as Lars?" and one click gives them the saved name.
- Open a meeting in the notepad — a notepad button on the meeting page opens the notepad on that saved meeting, with its notes.
- Setup & demo film — a 9-minute film that sets up Natively and walks through using it. Open it from the Welcome screen, Settings → Setup & Help, or the card on Home. It plays in your browser.
Improvements
- Compare — picking a winner deletes the losing version and its tab. If the older version wins, it becomes the meeting's notes. "About the same" keeps both.
- Resume — a resume that adds nothing new leaves the meeting and its notes exactly as they were.
- Free trial — the trial ends when its AI allowance runs out as well as at 30 minutes, and "Free trial is almost over" shows about two answers before the end. A refused answer now says the trial ended or a plan limit was reached, never "check your API keys".
- Backup speech — when your provider stops your key because it is out of quota, the banner says so and names the provider transcribing in the meantime. Only Reconnecting spins now.
- Local speech models — when a local model cannot start, the message says why: not enough memory (with the measured figures), model not downloaded, or model stopped. It no longer tells you to check a key a local model does not have.
- Pro lifetime — now $60. During a named sale the card shows the sale's name with the $79 price struck through.
- Settings — Ambient AI Chat is back in General, and Do not save meetings moves under Advanced.
- Meeting notes — notes fade out under the pinned header as you scroll, instead of a hard cut.
Fixes
- Speech language — Auto now follows the speaker for the whole meeting on Natively speech, instead of locking onto the first language it heard.
- Garbled transcripts — fixed English coming back as nonsense in another alphabet on microphones whose audio could not be converted to 16 kHz.
- Windows notepad — the notes window takes clicks again after a second notepad meeting, so you can type and press Stop.
- Overlay — a banner whose text changed twice quickly no longer goes blank, and light-mode code blocks no longer show a white bar behind each line.
- Free trial — the end-of-trial card shows what the trial used instead of zeros.
- Local models — a memory reading Windows or macOS fails to take no longer blocks every local model.
- Debug log — opening Natively while it is already running no longer wipes the running app's log.
- Sidrune — Get API key opens the global Sidrune sign-up with the NATIVELY promo.
Technical
- The native audio module builds cleanly on macOS 27 with Xcode 27: host proc macros are no longer stripped, and the shipped module is stripped as before on macOS and Windows.
- The debug log records the microphone format ("Mic format: declared X Hz, device Y Hz") for transcription reports.
- npm run dev:agent reports an app ended by a signal as a failure instead of a clean exit.
- Electron 43.7.7 and Node 22.13 or later, unchanged from 3.0.0.
macOS Installation (Signed Build)
Download the correct architecture .dmg or .zip file for your device (Apple Silicon or Intel).
- For Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4): Download the
arm64build. - For Intel Macs: Download the
x64build.
Open the downloaded file, drag Natively to your Applications folder, and launch it.
⚠️Windows Installation (Unsigned Build)
When running the installer on Windows, you might see a "Windows protected your PC" warning from Microsoft Defender SmartScreen saying it prevented an unrecognized app from starting.
Since this is an unsigned build, this is expected. You can safely ignore it by clicking More info and then Run anyway.
See CHANGELOG.md for the detailed list of changes.
