- Recording from TC start – with the Autorun plugin, SnipClip starts together with Total Commander; no need to open
\\\SnipClipfirst. Example config:autorun.snipclip.example.cfg. Works with 32- and 64-bit TC. - Popup hotkey – a system-wide key (e.g.
Win+Alt+V) opens a menu with the latest clips and your StickySnips at the mouse pointer, in any program. Pick with mouse or digit 1–0; SnipClip pastes into the program you came from. Off by default ([hotkey] Popup=).- Keys already taken by another program are detected and reported.
- Avoid
Ctrl+Alt+letter– on many keyboard layouts that is AltGr.
- Alt+Enter overview shows version, 32/64-bit, build type and plugin folder.

- No function removed – the C++ stream library was dropped, the build is size-optimised, the icon is stored as lossless PNG.
- WinHTTP is loaded only when an upload actually runs.
Troubleshooting
- Two packages: normal (no debug logging) and debug (
[Settings] DebugLogging=1) for bug reports. - Debug log lines include date, 32/64-bit and process ID.
Upgrading
- Close TC and replace the plugin files.
- Keep your
SnipClip.ini; new settings ([hotkey]) are documented inSnipClip.example.ini.
Languages
All new texts in English, German, Russian, Ukrainian and Danish.
Virus scanner note
1–2 engines on VirusTotal (Microsoft Wacatac.C!ml, Skyhigh BehavesLike…Dropper) flag the file system plugin. These are machine-learning heuristics: clipboard monitoring together with a global hotkey, simulated Ctrl+V and autostart matches their pattern. It is a false positive and has been reported. The Lister plugin is clean (0/71).
