- Ask for a Microsoft Store review once with a silent notification when the app is deliberately opened, shown only in the Store channel at the earliest 14 days after first launch and after at least three days with a device connection. The prompt appears at most once; a dedicated action opens the review page.
- Add versioned usage, CLI, architecture, translation, release, and security documentation with automated link, CLI-help, localization, and release-metadata validation.

- Fall back to the English source string when a selected locale does not yet contain a translated key.
- Keep contributor guidance and pull-request checks proportional to the files and behavior changed.
- Store and Windows App Installer now handle updates; the in-app GitHub update check and Inno Setup installers have been removed. Existing 0.9.1 GitHub Setup installations need a manual switch to the App Installer feed. GitHub and Store packages use separate identities.
- Settings now use a strict versioned format. Existing 0.9.1 preferences, including device aliases and connection policies, are migrated automatically; unsupported or damaged files are preserved before defaults are used.
Fixed
- Harden device, settings, command-pipe, notification and shutdown lifetimes against stale callbacks and concurrent work.
- Preserve unreadable settings files before resetting; reject changes if the original file cannot be preserved.
Known limitations
- A connected device may occasionally produce no audio, including after a playback pause. Reconnect to recover (#1).
- Windows may ignore per-app output routing for A2DP sink audio (#13).
Installation
Recommended: Install AudioPlaybackConnector2 from the Microsoft Store for a Microsoft-signed package and automatic updates.
If the Store is unavailable, download AudioPlaybackConnector2.cer, trust it under Trusted People, and open AudioPlaybackConnector2.appinstaller. Windows App Installer selects x64 or ARM64 and follows this release channel for updates.
AudioPlaybackConnector2_0.9.2.0_x64_ARM64.msixbundle is the manual fallback. Install the matching framework packages from Dependencies first. Direct bundle installation does not register automatic updates.

GitHub packages use a self-signed identity that is separate from the Microsoft Store package. Never import the certificate into Trusted Root Certification Authorities.
