This release focuses on a safer installer experience, more reliable meeting capture, better meeting detection, and new automation hooks for post-meeting workflows.
New and Improved
- Added a polished DMG install experience with a custom drag-to-Applications layout and a double-click install path.
- The installer now derives the app name and bundle path from the running app, which makes test builds safer and avoids hardcoded production install paths.
- Added a Cohere transcription language setting that persists across onboarding, Settings, model selection, dictation, and meeting transcription.
- Added a meeting-only post-hook automation setting so Muesli can run a selected executable after a meeting transcript is persisted.
- Added Advanced meeting settings for enabling the post-meeting hook, selecting the script, and configuring timeout behavior.
Meeting Detection and Recording
- Reworked meeting detection into a deterministic pipeline owned by
MeetingMonitor. - Added CoreAudio process attribution so active microphone apps can be identified more accurately.
- Added validated browser meeting URL collection for Chrome, Brave, Arc, Edge, and Safari.
- Improved meeting prompt attribution across browser URLs, active mic/camera process state, foreground app, and calendar context.
- Chrome Google Meet now wins over stale/background apps such as WhatsApp.
- Focused Google Meet pre-join pages can trigger before microphone state flips.
- Native meeting apps such as Teams can be attributed through active input-process state.
- Detection prompts now anchor to the source app/window screen instead of the mouse position.
- Preserved prompt cooldown behavior across short detection dropouts.
Reliability
- Prevented silent app termination while a meeting lifecycle is active.
- Serialized streaming VAD chunk processing so only one VAD chunk is processed at a time.
- Hardened VAD restart/drainer ownership to avoid stale async work interfering with a restarted session.
- Added regression coverage for meeting termination policy, VAD lifecycle behavior, meeting hooks, Cohere language persistence, and update fallback guidance.
Updates and Release Safety
- Improved Sparkle update failure guidance so users get actionable fallback instructions when an update install fails.
- Added
scripts/verify_update_flow.shand wired update-flow verification into CI/release checks. - The 0.6.2 release DMG was signed, notarized, stapled, uploaded to GitHub Releases, re-downloaded, SHA-verified, and Gatekeeper-verified.
- The release pipeline now stages official release builds outside
/Applications, so local installed apps are not overwritten while producing release artifacts.
