GoldenEye VR v0.5.9
Teammates are always at full volume on voice chat, now in Horde and co-op
too.
Changes
- Voice chat in Horde and co-op: every player is a teammate, so you hear
everyone at full volume wherever they are, whatever the host's Voice
mode. Voices still come from the speaker's direction. Before, the host's
Proximity setting made teammates quieter with distance (PR #206). - Voice mode in the launcher: the setting only reaches free-for-all
opponents, so it is greyed out in Horde, co-op and team battles, with a
hint saying why. Team battles are unchanged: teammates at full volume,
opponents quieter with distance. - Game sound effects are unaffected.
Testing and known issues
- Checked on Quest 3 with the pre-release build.
- Everything listed under v0.5.7's known issues still applies.
Update and multiplayer compatibility
Download GoldenEye-VR-v0.5.9.apk or use Update in the headset launcher.
Updating over an earlier release keeps your settings. This APK contains no
GoldenEye, XBLA or Perfect Dark game data; use your existing game files.
Android version: 0.5.9; versionCode: 89; network protocol: 23.
No network changes: v0.5.7, v0.5.8 and v0.5.9 play together; v0.5.6 and
older can't join. Each headset sets voice volume for itself, so players on
v0.5.7 or v0.5.8 still hear Horde and co-op teammates with the host's Voice
mode until they update.
