Major Changes:

  • You can now hook GShade to your games through d8input.dll. This option may be useful in cases where the other hooking methods are already in use by other tools.
  • The default hotkey for opening the in-game overlay in Phantasy Star Online 2 has changed from F10 to Insert due to the addition of the world map feature which uses F10. This change only impacts new installations.
  • The Bundled DXVK build has been updated to version 1.9.0.

Minor Changes:

  • The Update Reminder utility has switched from using the Public Startup folder for on-startup launches to the Windows Registry. Migration is automatic and no settings will need to be adjusted regardless of if you were or were not previously using it.

  • New Officially Supported Games:

    • City of Heroes

UI Changes:

  • The on-startup in-game banner will now be displayed for 15 seconds instead of 5 seconds if a minor or major update is available, providing additional time to read the notice.
  • Added a new Hooking section to the options provided when installing or adding GShade to games in the Installer and Control Panel.

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed an issue where some DirectX 12 games would not present a valid depth buffer.
  • Fixed an issue where the depth buffer was still disabled on BeamNG.drive.
  • Fixed an issue where multiple instances of several GShade utilities could be manually opened at once.
  • Fixed an issue in the installer and control panel where selecting the DXVK option would disable other API options on the page for some whitelisted games.
  • Fixed some text labels in the control panel not updating correctly.
  • Fixed the installer showing the update check failed notice twice when the check failed.
  • Fixed an issue in the installer and control panel where some uncommon error prompts would cause a crash.

Shader Changes

  • The following shaders have been updated:
    • BulgePinch.fx - Added mouse coordinate tracking option.
    • PPFX_SSDO.fx - Fixed glitching when a pixel had a value of 0 (pure black). This solves issues when using the shader alongside KeepUI.fx's Occlusion Asssistance.
    • Swirl.fx - Added mouse coordinate tracking option.
    • ZigZag.fx - Added mouse coordinate tracking option.
