This release adds TorBox Usenet, a new way to play Usenet that doesn't use
your server's bandwidth. It also brings a Diagnosis page that shows where
things break, a Search now button for Prowlarr discovery, and better MLB
coverage.
TorBox Usenet
A new pipeline any account can switch on, separate from everything else.
- SSS finds it, TorBox plays it. SSS searches your own Usenet indexer
(Newznab, NZBHydra or Prowlarr) and hands the release to your TorBox, which
downloads it and plays it to you. Only the small NZB file passes through the
server, so it suits a VPS with a bandwidth limit. - Each result says what TorBox already has: ⚡ Instant (already in your
TorBox), 📦 Cached (TorBox has it), ⏳ Processing or ⏳ Queue. - No second click. If TorBox still has to download a release, the player
waits and starts once it is ready, usually within a few minutes. - Your settings: switch it on in Configure, then open TorBox Usenet
settings to add your indexer and choose how many results are checked
against TorBox per event (default 5). Each check downloads one NZB from your
indexer, which counts towards its daily limit. - Private by design. TorBox receives the NZB file, never your indexer link,
so your indexer API key stays on your server.
Your TorBox plan must include Usenet downloads. Built-in Usenet (native NNTP)
is unchanged.

Diagnosis
A new admin page that follows an event from schedule to playback and shows
where it breaks.
- Overview splits everything into six stages (Access, Schedule, Sources,
Matching, Coverage, Playback). Every problem comes with why it matters,
numbered steps to fix it and a button to the right page. Start here opens
the most serious one. Problems you accept can be hidden for 30 days. - Troubleshoot an event checks one event step by step (listed, aired,
searched, release found, links shown, played) and highlights where it stops.
An event that hasn't finished yet shows "Not ready yet" instead of looking
broken. - Client check opens your addon the way Nuvio does and reports what a
client would see. - It catches problems that were hard to spot before, such as an indexer whose
torrent downloads fail even though its searches still work.
Prowlarr discovery
- Search now. Search a promotion's missing games, one game, or everything
straight away, instead of waiting for the background queue. Tracker
protections stay in place: failure cooldowns, daily budgets and ten seconds
between requests. Progress shows on Discovery → Prowlarr. - Fewer missing games. Torrents with no seeders are now checked as a last
resort, since TorBox often still has them cached. Retries no longer wait for
days behind a backlog of new games.
Fixes
- F1:
Practice2written without a gap is recognised, and support shows
(Paddock Uncut, pre- and post-race shows) are no longer offered as the race
or qualifying. - Discovered catalogs no longer spend time on built-in Usenet searches that
could never return anything. - Sport-Video's match report no longer shows weekend releases as
unmatched when they had matched.
If you use Prowlarr
Prowlarr 2.6.5 can't read 720pier's torrent files, so every 720pier download
fails while its searches still work. If 720pier stops finding MLB or NHL games,
check Prowlarr's version: 2.5.2 works.
