SeriousSportSync is a self-hosted sports calendar and stream orchestrator built primarily for Nuvio, with support for Stremio-compatible clients.
It turns upcoming and recent sports events into proper catalog entries with dates, artwork, metadata, and promotion-aware playback searches. Current built-in coverage includes UFC, ONE Championship, WWE, AEW, Formula 1, MotoGP, and boxing, with an admin interface for adding simpler metadata-backed sports.
What has changed
- Docker Compose is now the standard deployment path. A public GHCR image, persistent data volume, health checks, and normal pull-and-redeploy updates make installation and maintenance much easier.
- Direct Prowlarr discovery is available again. It runs when a user opens an event and remains separate from the scheduled cache warmer.
- Prowlarr searches no longer force Movies, TV, or Other categories. Indexers such as Bitmagnet can return their complete relevant text-search results.
- Per-user playback stays isolated. Users can configure their own TorBox, Usenet Ultimate, and Easynews services without sharing credentials through stream responses.
- Promotion-aware filtering keeps improving. Event names, years, dates, rounds, sessions, and known noise patterns are used to reject unrelated releases.
- The admin interface has grown. Operators can inspect logs, test event matches, tune aliases and noise rules, run explicit event searches, manage users, and create custom promotions.
- The GitHub front page has been completely refreshed with a clear quick start, integration matrix, architecture overview, configuration guide, and update workflow.
Quick start
Save the Compose example from the repository, create an environment file containing a random session secret and administrator username, then run:
docker compose up -dThe public image is:
ghcr.io/monkfish1337/serioussportsync:latest
Open the web interface, create the administrator account, configure any optional discovery services, and copy the private install URL from the Account page into Nuvio or Stremio.
Updating an existing stack
docker compose pull
docker compose up -d --remove-orphansAccounts, settings, events, custom promotions, and matching overrides remain in the persistent data volume.
SeriousSportSync hosts no media and includes no service credentials. Playback integrations are optional and supplied by each operator or user. See the refreshed project page for setup details, supported sports, and the complete architecture.
