What is New

The largest update until now for Litefin: adding full Seerr integration (special thanks to @HexS2 for laying down the foundations for the Seerr integration), 4 new sidebar layouts, tons of bug fixes, a cleaned-up settings page, and some cool new features. Updated some ui and layouts, a lot of the default values have been updated to improve performance and layout by default. Litefin now works (not perfect on the older models tho) on every WebOS and Tizen-released TV!

Notes:

No changes were made for the release of Jellyfin 12.0, but it should work fine.

Please update the Litefin plugin to be able to use Seerr and more app optimizations.

Most of the new ui changes that have been made are revertable, just needs a little digging in the settings. If you need help, please ask.

Cool new features:

• You can now go to the seerr details page of a movie/series/person from the details page if seerr is configured correctly.
• Media technical info can be added to the details page now (on by default).
• You can now change the loading indicator style (the default is now the simple one for performance).
• You can now add 2 collection rows on the homepage (off by default), thanks to @eduardomoreiraps.
• You can prefetch some details need to the player to reduce initial loading to start playback, (on by default) thanks to @eduardomoreiraps.
• You can change the seek behavior now to press ok to confirm and back to cancel a seek (off by default), thanks to @Lightspeed50.
• You can now enable re-asking who is watching when the app opens from the background (off by default), thanks to @Lightspeed50.
• You can add a warning dialog on player exit to not accidentally close the player (off by default).
• You can make the initial ok press in the osd not perform any action and just show the osd (off by default), thanks to @zvirja.
• You can now change the transparency of the shadows behind the home screen carousel.
• You can change how jellyfin search is done now for support for search plugins.
• Added a new option borders + uniform shadow for text subtitles for better visibility.

• Option to force remuxing all mkv containers to mp4 ones.

• Allow changing the Litefin icon colors in the sidebar, update icon default color, and change the default app theme color.

📦 Which version to use?

Litefin provides 4 distinct build variants per platform (Tizen & webOS) to ensure compatibility across all hardware generations.

Note: If you are unsure, try the Normal build first. If the app feels sluggish or fails to load, move down to Legacy.

For Tizen 2.4 users, use the no-service build.
