Media Player Classic PS5 1.3
What Sulfurico-One64 asked for in #1.
New
-
Choose the subtitle font. In Options > Subtitles > Default Style, the Font list now shows Selawik (Segoe UI), Roboto and every
.ttf/.otf/.ttcyou put in/data/mpcps5/fonts, by the font's own name.- SRT, WebVTT and the other text formats are drawn in the font you choose. ASS/SSA subtitles keep their own styles, as in MPC-HC.
- The folder is read again each time Options opens, so a font copied in while the app runs shows up without a restart.
- Bold uses the family's bold file when the folder has one; otherwise the letters are thickened.
- Every font file is checked before it is used. A damaged file, or one only partly copied, is left out and the log says why.
-
More Default Style options, as on MPC-HC's page: text and outline colours, the shadow, Opaque box (a box behind each line, with its opacity) and a live preview. The bottom margin now works. The default look is unchanged.
-
Controller keys: Options > Player > Keys gives each button in the window its own action, with MPC-HC's on-screen message for each. Default puts back the usual mapping. The actions include:
- jumps, chapters, volume, full screen, Go To and the menus;
- subtitle delay −/+ and next subtitle track;
- next audio track and audio delay −/+.
The Options button always opens the menu bar, so the menus can't be lost.
-
Debug logs in View > Options > Miscellaneous. They are off by default, as before, and turn on or off at once.
-
Options > Subtitles' Delay interval is now the step for the subtitle delay, as in MPC-HC. The delay itself is in "Current delay" beside it.
The audio track and the audio time shift are also in Play > Audio Track and Options > Audio Switcher.

Status
It passes 292 host tests (the same code on Linux, the PS5 calls faked), but it has not been run on a PS5 yet. Please report what works and what doesn't, with Options > Miscellaneous > Debug logs on (the log is /data/mpcps5/logs/boot.log).
