Hotfix release for users upgrading from 4.0.0, 4.0.1, or 4.0.2.

Fixed

• Fixed manager self-update reliability.

  • The updater now waits for the installed manager executable to report the target version before reopening the UI.
  • This prevents the old manager from reopening while the silent installer is still replacing files.

• Fixed stale relauncher processes during installer upgrades.

  • The installer now stops old BeszelAgentManager-relaunch-*.ps1 helper processes before replacing files.
  • This fixes cases where updating from 4.0.1 or 4.0.2 could reopen an older manager version during install.

• Fixed same-version/hotfix file replacement.

  • Installer app files now use forced version-independent replacement.
  • This prevents stale DLLs or EXEs from remaining behind during hotfix, repair, rollback, or repeated installs.

• Fixed shutdown-time sc.exe error dialogs.

  • WinUI background polling is cancelled during real app shutdown.
  • Service status checks now have a bounded timeout and fail quietly during Windows shutdown.

Changed

• Renamed Download manager to Update Manager for clearer wording.
• Added Windows Server Desktop Experience support wording.
• Added installer minimum Windows version check for Windows 10 version 1809 / Server 2019 and newer.

Upgrade notes

If you are on 4.0.0, 4.0.1, or 4.0.2, install this version manually from the release asset if the in-app updater does not complete cleanly.

Recommended recovery path if your manager opens as an older version after updating:

1. Close BeszelAgentManager.
2. Download BeszelAgentManagerSetup.exe from this release.
3. Run the installer manually.
4. Reopen BeszelAgentManager and confirm the top-right version shows 4.0.3.
