Notes:
I not only managed to parallelize the directory scanner in multithreaded mode, I found a massive speed optimization that with the parallelization, managed to speed up the directory scanning by over 5x in my case. I went from 40 seconds to scan the entire drive in Beta 5 to 25 seconds with parallelization, which went down to 3.5 seconds with the speed optimization!
