v2.3-test517 — World-card glow and stability test

pre-release2 hours ago

Focused prerelease for #517: keep the complete HD world illustration visible while preserving the original additive glow. The original effect includes cyan; the correction preserves its colours and timing rather than recolouring the animation.

Includes the #515 tutorial actor fix, the corrected Linux64 X11 runtime and additional shared texture/surface failure guards through PR523. This is a test for Windows and native desktop Linux/Steam Deck, not stable2.3.

Download the Windows ZIP or Linux .tar.gz under Assets, extract into a new folder, add your own ROM and use the included launcher. Keep your working installation/saves. No HD-media reimport is needed for this renderer correction. Check world-card selection in normal/HD and Original/Auto views, especially Traverse Town; attach this test folder's logs if it still fails.

Closed-package validation: all three ROM regions boot in 32/64 bits on Windows and a Linux VM; the EU tutorial keeps Sora and the door visible; the HD selector runs in two worlds and both views using Windows64 Direct3D11 and Linux64 Mesa OpenGL. CPU PPU/presenter fault-injection tests and 206 PPU oracles also pass. Physical SteamOS confirmation for #517 remains separate. The earlier, separate #459 startup test was confirmed on its reporter's native64 device; #330 remains open for its own result.

Windows file details and game logs identify this test consistently. Source and verification JSON files accompany both archives. No ROM, save or imported game media is included. Startup HD credits, audio work, the newly reported brief door-card artifact and the expanded Atlas scenario review remain separate pending work.
