v2.2.5 - Stability update

Maintenance update focused on startup stability, Linux input/audio and HD media.

  • Fix the launcher font-atlas failure reproduced from the Moto report. The earlier font-fallback test was confirmed working on Moto Edge 60 (including Jafar) and the Samsung launch report.
  • Include the Java-first Android entry, direct Play for a validated installed ROM, and shareable startup reports in the official APK.
  • Restore Linux keyboard input without a connected controller and include the missing private PulseAudio client library.
  • Respect HD movie master volume, improve Linux movie reads and title fallback, and include the missing floor12 movie in basic imports. Existing imports keep their original resolution and quality.
  • Keep native rendering available when HD glyphs/previews are rejected, preserve patch versions in console metadata, and apply supported window/VSync requests through the 64-bit host.
  • Prevent a browser crash in boss backgrounds caused by an incompatible function declaration, and reject that class of linker warning in future Web builds.

Windows and Linux desktop/Steam Deck retain their stable status. Android, Anbernic, PS4, PS5, Vita, Switch and the browser remain beta. Per-package source identities, hashes and verification limits are in BUILD-SOURCES-v2.2.5.json. Build/format checks do not certify every physical device; Steam startup reports still awaiting a diagnosis remain open.

Updating: close the game and extract the complete desktop package into your existing game folder, retaining your ROM, saves, settings and HD import. On Android, install over the existing app; do not uninstall or clear data. Choose Select ROM only if a ROM is not installed. Use your own cartridge dump; none is included.

Linux startup diagnostics are available through the same ReKHCoM.sh: --steam-help prints shortcut fields; optional --safe-startup uses the compatibility renderer for one launch. Remove the option to return to normal accelerated mode.

Known Linux limitation: the SteamOS report in #459 remains open. Its logs identify a bundled-libc/host-OpenGL conflict in the 32-bit safe-startup route and unavailable FFmpeg tools inside Steam Linux Runtime. This release does not claim to repair that environment. Normal accelerated launch and the reported working runtime are separate from that optional route.

Browser beta: play on the Web. The EU/US/JP site is deployed; its public files match the verified build. Console and browser packages retain their beta status.

Previous stable and test downloads remain unchanged. Thanks to everyone who supplied logs and tested the fixes.
