Web UI (Phase 8)

soup ui launches a local web interface for managing experiments and training — all from your browser.

pip install 'soup-cli[ui]'
soup ui
# → opens http://127.0.0.1:7860

Pages:

• Dashboard — view all experiment runs with loss/LR charts, system info, and run details
• New Training — create configs from built-in templates (chat, code, reasoning, vision, medical), validate YAML, and start training
• Data Explorer — browse and inspect datasets (JSONL, JSON, CSV, Parquet) with format auto-detection
• Model Chat — chat with a running soup serve inference server in the browser

Backend API endpoints:

• /api/runs — list, view, delete experiment runs
• /api/runs/{id}/metrics — loss/LR data for charts
• /api/config/validate — validate YAML configs
• /api/train/start|status|stop — training lifecycle control
• /api/data/inspect — dataset exploration
• /api/templates — list built-in config templates
• /api/system — GPU/device/version info

Other:

• load_config_from_string() helper in config/loader.py for API/UI usage
• 40 new tests (530 total)
• Self-contained SPA — no Node.js or npm required
