New features

Live TV rebuilt, with recording. Live TV now opens on a Browse row for the TV Guide, Channels and Recordings, followed by On Now, Shows, Movies, News and Sports. Each one opens as its own screen. (#48)

• Programme pages: tap any programme to see everything the server has for it: episode title, original air date, ratings, Live, New, Premiere and Repeat badges, HD and audio details, tags, links to external sites, what's up next on the channel, and similar programmes. Watch live is available while it's airing.
• Channel pages: tap a channel to see its schedule up to the end of the guide data. Long-press a channel in the Channels list or the guide to start playing it straight away.
• Guide: pick a day to browse, and see what's airing now. The filter button on the Guide and Channels screens sorts channels by channel number, name, or recently watched; puts favourites first or shows favourites only, chooses which categories appear, turns colour-coded categories on or off, and picks which indicators to show (HD, Live, New, Premiere, Repeat).
• Record a programme or a whole series from its programme or channel page. Series Options set new episodes only or all episodes, one channel or all channels, around the original air time or anytime, how many episodes to keep, and whether to skip episodes already in your library. Recording options add padding before and after, and you can cancel a single recording or the whole series.
• Recordings: see what's scheduled, your series rules and finished recordings. Play or delete finished recordings. Recordings scheduled or cancelled elsewhere, for example in Jellyfin's web app, show up straight away.
• Recording needs the Allow Live TV recording management permission on your Jellyfin account. Without it, programme and channel pages still work, but without the record actions.

• Open it from the ⋮ menu on movie, show and episode pages and on music tracks, or from the info button on audiobooks and podcast episodes.
• File: container, size, bitrate and duration. Video: codec, profile, level, resolution, frame rate, bit depth, range, and Dolby Vision and colour details. Audio: codec, channels, sample rate, bitrate and language. Subtitles: language, and whether a track is default, forced, SDH or external.
• Items with several versions let you choose which one to inspect. Tap a value to copy it.
• The file path is shown to server administrators only.
• Works offline for content downloaded with this version. Earlier downloads show fewer details.

Spotlight carousel content. Settings > Appearance > Custom Home Sections now has a settings button on the Spotlight carousel row to choose what it shows:

• Random, Recommended for you (based on what you watched recently), Recently added, Collection or playlist, or Custom filter (genres, studios or tags, with optional extra filters).
• How many seconds each slide stays on screen (0 turns auto-advance off), the number of slides, and whether the page indicator shows dots, a counter or nothing.
• Filters for watched items, libraries and a maximum parental rating.
• If a mode finds nothing, the carousel falls back to Random.

Also new: Settings > Appearance > Home Screen > Hero Carousel Style chooses between Full-bleed, Peek cards and Inset card · a bitrate badge next to the other stream badges on item pages · on Full-bleed in the light theme, the carousel switches to light text when the backdrop behind it is dark.

Improvements

• Live TV: the Channels list appears straight away and fills in what's on as you scroll, and the guide loads channels in blocks as you reach them instead of loading the whole guide at once. Programme pages load similar programmes at the same time as the programme.
• The pause screen fits on short landscape screens, with smaller text and fewer cast members.
• Settings descriptions are no longer cut off after one line.
• The release notes dialog has a Try Again button when the notes can't be loaded.
• Filter and sort options in Libraries, Music, Downloads, Discover and Live TV work the same way.
• Updated icons across navigation, settings, the player and the Control Panel.
• Updated translations: German, Indonesian, Italian, Russian and Swedish.

Fixes

• Seerr: search could crash when a movie and a TV show had the same TMDB ID, and requesting one could change the other's status. Each one is now kept separate. (#264)
• Live TV: the New badge appeared only on a series' first episode. It now appears on every episode that isn't a repeat, as in Jellyfin's web app.
• The log viewer showed times without the hour. It now shows hours, minutes and seconds.
• The item page's download quality list offered options above the file's own bitrate. Only options that lower the quality are offered now.
