First beta release for the upcoming v1.2.0. This version introduces major improvements to ProxMenux Monitor, including AI-powered notification enhancement and a completely redesigned notification system.

Main changes in v1.1.9.1

ProxMenux Monitor - AI-Enhanced Notifications

Notifications can now be enhanced using AI to generate contextual, informative messages instead of raw system data.

What does AI do?

Improves the notification messages you receive. Instead of receiving raw technical data from the system (like backup completed exitcode=0 size=2.3GB), AI generates a clearer, contextual message: "The web server backup completed successfully. Size: 2.3GB".

Why is it useful?

  • Notifications easier to understand at a glance
  • Messages in your preferred language
  • Choose the detail level: minimal, standard, or detailed
  • Works with Telegram, Discord, Email, Pushover, and Webhooks

What AI does NOT do

  • It is NOT a chatbot or assistant you can converse with
  • It does NOT analyze your system or make decisions
  • It does NOT have access to your data beyond the notification being processed
  • It does NOT execute commands or modify your server
  • It does NOT store conversation history
  • It does NOT learn from your data

In summary: AI only "translates" technical notifications into more readable messages. Nothing more, nothing less.

Multi-Provider Support - Choose from 6 AI providers:

  • Groq: Fast inference, generous free tier - ideal to get started
  • Google Gemini: Free tier available, excellent quality/price ratio
  • OpenAI: Industry standard, very accurate
  • Anthropic Claude: Excellent for writing and translation
  • OpenRouter: 300+ models with a single API key
  • Ollama: 100% local execution, no internet required

Key Features:

  • Per-Provider API Keys: Store separate API keys for each provider - switch without re-entering credentials
  • Customizable Detail Level: Configure AI response detail (minimal/standard/detailed) per notification channel
  • Multi-Language Support: AI generates messages in your preferred language

ProxMenux Monitor - Notification System Redesign

  • Multi-Channel Architecture: Send notifications to multiple channels simultaneously (Telegram, Discord, Pushover, Email, Webhook)
  • Per-Event Configuration: Enable/disable specific event types per channel
  • Channel Overrides: Customize notification behavior for each channel independently
  • Secure Webhook Endpoint: External systems can send notifications via authenticated webhook
  • Encrypted Storage: API keys and sensitive data stored with encryption

Technical Improvements

  • New SQLite-based configuration storage
  • Background notification processing with queue system
  • Automatic retry logic for failed notifications
  • Health monitoring with dismissible warnings
