This version introduces the first release of ProxMenux Monitor — a new tool designed to provide real-time monitoring and future web-based interaction with ProxMenux, without relying on the terminal.
It also includes improvements for PVE 9 compatibility, Log2RAM integration, and safer handling of the subscription banner.

ProxMenux Monitor

🔧 Main changes in v1.1.7

🆕 New tool: ProxMenux Monitor

A brand new interface to monitor your Proxmox infrastructure — designed with future updates in mind:

  • Prepare for GUI-based actions without needing a terminal
  • Designed to work across multiple devices and formats
  • Built with modularity and expansion in mind

🛠 Improvements

  • CORAL TPU Installer
Now compatible with both Proxmox VE 8 and VE 9, including updated udev handling and module loading logic.

  • Improved Log2RAM Installation

    • Log2RAM and journald are now automatically synchronized to avoid overflow or underallocation
    • Safe to reinstall — handles multiple executions without conflict
    • Automatically tunes journald size based on available memory
  • Network Optimization (LXC+NFS)
Fixes “martian source” warnings when LXC containers share NFS mounts with VMs on the same host.

  • PVE Upgrade Progress Display
When upgrading Proxmox from the post-install menu, the script now shows live progress indicators during package installation and upgrade.

🔐 New Safety: Banner Removal System

The subscription banner removal has been improved:

  • Less intrusive and creates a backup before applying changes
  • Clear warning that GUI updates may break the patch
  • If the GUI fails to load, users can:
    1. SSH into the node
    2. Open the post-install menu
    3. Go to Uninstall Options → Restore Banner to recover original files

Special thanks to @eryonki for providing the new safer method.

🐛 Fixes

  • Smarter repository detection: If APT sources are missing or invalid, the script auto-adds a working Debian repo.
  • Replaces deprecated mlocate (removed in Debian 13) with plocate.
  • Improved log and error feedback: failed steps no longer report as “successful” if detection or execution fails.
  • General performance improvements and minor bug fixes.

📦 Current project structure

ProxMenux is organized into modular, interactive menus designed for managing and customizing a Proxmox VE system:

  1. Post-Install Settings for Proxmox
  2. Hardware: GPU and Coral TPU Tools
  3. Create VMs from Templates or Scripts
  4. Disk and Storage Manager
  5. Mount and Share Manager
  6. Essential Proxmox VE Helper Scripts
  7. Network Tools and Tweaks
  8. System Settings and Optimization
  9. Help and Info Commands
  10. ProxMenux Monitor
