This version introduces a major internal update to the way ProxMenux is installed and executed, paving the way for modularity, performance, and user choice.

If you're upgrading from v1.1.2, make sure to read the changes to the installer — now you can choose between a full or lightweight version depending on your needs.


🔧 Main changes in v1.1.3

🆕 New installer modes

ProxMenux now offers two installation modes:

  1. Lite version (no translations)

    • Minimal installation
    • No dependencies beyond dialog and jq
    • Does not modify your system beyond ProxMenux directory
  2. Full version (with translations)

    • Runs in a virtual environment
    • Allows selecting a language interface during installation
    • Default option for full multilingual support

Installer Menu

If you're upgrading and switching from full to lite mode, the previous version will be automatically removed to avoid conflicts.


✨ New features

  • Automated Post-Installation Script
    Performs essential setup tasks like APT upgrades, kernel/network tuning, log optimizations, and even Log2RAM if SSD is detected.

  • New Menus

    • System Utilities Installer
    • Network Repair and Configuration Tool
  • New Log2RAM integration
    Automatically configured in the minimal setup when SSD/NVMe is detected.


🛠 Improvements & Fixes

  • Improved logic in post-install and VM creation menus
  • UUP dump script: custom temp directory support + safer cleanup

  • XFS support in disk passthrough for LXC containers — thanks @antroxin
  • IOMMU fix for ZFS-based installs (#15)
