v1.10.58 - Seamless cover, and a full demo studio
Cover, rebuilt from the ground up
- Walk into a wall and stop and you take cover against it; crouch still behind low cover to take cover there. No more spinning view on entry.
- Glide along cover left and right, round gentle bends, and stop at the end instead of sliding off.
- Doorways and corners are found: you stop at a door jamb (sprint to cross) and can lean out round a corner.
- Blind fire goes round the corner or over the top - never into the wall. Aim (RMB) steps you out past the corner or up over low cover, and lets you settle back.
- A modern third-person camera that eases in and out, follows the open side and never clips into the wall.
- Works for remote players with ping and on a controller (stick, left trigger to aim, right trigger to fire).
Demo studio: press F1 in any demo for a menu with every tool, its key and its settings.
- Sound in renders (M) - F10 videos now carry the game audio.
- Trim and save clips -
[and]mark in and out,\saves; render just the marked range. - Titles and captions (Y) - type text at any moment; it is burned into renders.
- Zoom and tilt on camera paths (Z / X, comma / period), eased along the path.
- Auto-director (G) - the camera cuts between the action by itself, early to kills and highlights.
- Depth of field (J), motion blur (K) and see-through outlines (B).
- Overlay toggles - 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 turn the kill feed, chat, compass and objectives on and off.
- Demo keys only act while a demo plays: in normal play your own binds (weapons on 1-4, anything on G, B, M, F1) work as always.
Fixes - no more red tint on the free camera when the recorded player is hit; seeking back into an earlier map mid-render keeps the same video going.
