What’s Changed
Automatic Tailwind watch and CSS hot reload
- Plain
dotnet watch runwith the .NET 10 SDK now starts Tailwind automatically. ASP.NET Core can apply generated CSS updates in the open browser when the stylesheet is a watched static asset. - Tailwind generates the initial stylesheet before starting the watcher. A failed CLI compilation or missing output now fails the build with a diagnostic.
- On Linux, Tailwind can launch in a supported terminal or run without one and log to disk. Set
TailwindTerminalExecutableto override terminal selection. Watch locks track the Tailwind process so subsequent builds can reuse it.
Native Windows ARM64 support
- Tailwind.MSBuild selects the native ARM64 executable whenever the requested Tailwind CSS release provides one. It falls back to x64 only when that release omits ARM64.
- On Windows ARM64,
latestresolves to a concrete release tag so cached binaries stay tied to the correct release.
Maintenance
- Updated NuGet dependencies and GitHub Actions.
- Expanded regression coverage for automatic watch startup, CLI failure handling, and Windows ARM64 asset selection.
