Changes

• Added option to load loose files.

Loose Files

This is useful for modding as you do not need to create PAK files to override game assets. For example:

• To override the main game font file, you can rename your desired TTF font file to PlantinMTPro-Bold.ufont
• Then place it in DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake\Game\Content\Nicola\UI\Font
• The game will then load this new font instead. (You can check what loose files are loaded in DQ3Fix.log)

Installation

• Download the file marked DQ3Fix_v0.0.3.zip from the "Assets" section below.
• Extract the contents of the release zip in to the the game folder.
  e.g. ("steamapps\common\DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake" for Steam).

Steam Deck/Linux Additional Instructions

🚩You do not need to do this if you are using Windows!

• Open up the game properties in Steam and add WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dsound=n,b" %command% to the launch options.

• See DQ3Fix.ini to adjust settings.
