Lumora v6.8

Navigation

  • Sports moved under the Live TV dropdown, and the main tabs now read as names. Sports is a live-television screen, so it sits with Live TV, Multiview and Catch Up in the Live dropdown instead of spending a top-level pill of its own. Series, Movies and Home keep their full names on screen even when another tab is selected; the width freed by the Sports pill is what lets them. Opening Sports from the dropdown leaves Live TV highlighted, and the row still hides with the board's own provider and Settings gate.

Updates

  • The update notice lands on Dismiss, and the About update prompt is usable. The launch notice now puts focus on Dismiss instead of leaving the ring wherever it was, so a stray OK cannot start the download. The Settings → About prompt opened with no button focused at all - the D-pad was dead - and it printed the release body as raw Markdown (## Lumora v6.7, **...**) cut off mid-sentence. The dialog now retries its initial focus once the window actually owns it, defaults to Later, and shows a cleaned, word-boundary excerpt of the release notes.

Playback

  • A stream served under a misleading file extension now plays. Media3 names the container from the URL path, so an HLS playlist or MPEG-TS segment served as something.png (or .php, .do, another non-container extension) was opened with the progressive/PNG extractors and failed with UnrecognizedInputFormatException, even though the bytes were a normal stream. Ambiguous URLs are now sniffed from their first bytes before the source is chosen; .m3u8, .mp4, .ts, .mkv and other known containers keep the existing no-request path. HLS segments are already sniffed by Media3, so a normal playlist with .png segment URLs continues to play untouched.
