Fixes a launch crash on 1.2.0. 1.2.0 could crash at startup on a clean
Windows install; 1.2.1 statically links the runtime so it launches everywhere.
Please use 1.2.1.
New
- RAR extraction — open
.rararchives, including multi-volume sets.
Improved
- File timestamps are preserved on both compress and extract (restoring a backup keeps its original dates).
- Better CJK (Korean / Japanese / Chinese) filename handling in legacy-codepage tar archives.
- GitHub-style source tarballs no longer leave a stray
pax_global_headerfile or double-nest the top folder. - Encrypted 7z archives now report encryption correctly (lock indicator).
- Parallel-compressed
tar.gz/.bz2/.xz(pbzip2, bgzip, concatenated streams) extract every member.
Stability
- Highly-compressible files are no longer wrongly rejected as zip bombs.
- tar hard-links (Linux rootfs, Docker layers) extract with their real content.
- Truncated
.debpackages are reported instead of silently succeeding. - More accurate integrity testing (
t) and hardening against crafted ISO / archive inputs.
