This release brings a breaking change and a big new feature, so it is released as test release.

Highlights / breaking changes

• MCP interface make Lightroom and LrGenius controllable via an AI agent.
• New SigLip2 model for better results in smart search. Requires a new model download and re-indexing (only smart-search data)
• AestheticScorer. New aesthetics model on top of the new SigLip2 model to assist with culling and general image quality analysis.

Already have LrGeniusAI installed? You do not need the installer. LrGeniusAI offers this update inside Lightroom — choose Update Now when it appears, then restart Lightroom.

Back up your catalog first

LrGeniusAI writes its results into your Lightroom catalog, and Lightroom counts
each of those writes as an edit: every photo LrGeniusAI processes gets a new
Edit Date, smart collections that filter on Edit Date pick it up, and the
old date cannot be set back. With Automatically write changes into XMP
turned on, Lightroom also writes the new metadata into XMP sidecars and
DNG/JPEG files, so cloud or NAS sync will upload those files again.

Back up your catalog before you run a new version over it, and start with a few

If your computer warns about the download

Both installers are downloaded rarely enough that Windows and macOS may not
recognise them yet. This is about how well known the file is, not about
anything found in it.

• Windows — if SmartScreen says "Windows protected your PC", click
  More info, then Run anyway.
• macOS — if the installer is blocked, open System Settings → Privacy &
  Security and click Open Anyway. In Terminal, xattr -d com.apple.quarantine <path to the .pkg> does the same thing.
