You can now configure your date time parsing as you please. To do that, go to settings > Set date time parsing rules. You can add, move and delete rules. Moving the rules also changes which rules apply when. Controversial rules like using the file modified date are configured as predefined rules and can be added. A lot of new fields and conditions are now covered, which should cover almost all needs. To apply these rules to all your photos, do a "Rescan all photos".
