What's new?
Play without JIT: Most translation-layer games run with no debugger and no StikJIT. Turn it on in Settings -> Play without JIT.
- Import the certificate SideStore or AltStore installed Husk with, or a
.p12 - The first time you open a game, Husk converts its libraries. After that it starts like normal
- StikJIT is still there if you want it
Games
- Unity 6 games get further (Flying Gorilla, Deep Rock Galactic Survivor, and others)
- Games that ask for OpenGL ES 3.1 don't fall over on launch
- Unity games that load Firebase / extra plugins through
UnityPlayer.loadLibrarystart - Minecraft's huge libraries load
- Python-for-Android games convert their bundled libraries too
- Games that try to JIT their own code (LuaJIT, PCRE2) fall back the way they do on a phone, instead of needing Husk's JIT
Also
- Starting full Android makes you wait five seconds on the warning. It's still the emulator. Don't use it for games
- Compatibility reports wait if the site is down, then send
- Certificate passwords (including empty ones) actually work
- Lots of fixes under Play without JIT so Unity and C++ games don't die on the first exception
Known Issues
- Some games still need JIT (ones that generate code at runtime, including a few with their own anti-tamper)
- Hollow Knight and Cuphead still have no sound
- Some games (Disco Elysium, Muse Dash) don't take touch input
- 32-bit only apps don't run
- The first convert of a big game can take a while and some disk
- Full Android is still slow and crashy. Use Play without JIT / the translation layer for games
Final notes
Thank you all for your repeated support over the past few weeks with Husk ❤️ . I hope you like this new JIT-less release <3
