Notes

This release contains a LOT of changes to the fundamental structure of how themes work. Please look at the updated README and documentation to understand how components, themes, and imports/exports work because everything has changed.

Instructions:

  1. Download the Theme-Manager.pak.zip file below
  2. Extract the Theme-Manager.pak folder and all its contents to Tools/tg5040 on your SD card
  3. Start your device, you should see the Theme-Manager show up in your Tools list
  4. Start customizing/sharing your themes!

What's Included:

  • An in-progress theme by @gamnrd that contains custom wallpapers and icons, as well as some custom overlays, LEDs, and Accents. You may use this theme to experiment and understand how theme management works.
  • A completely overhauled UI, with ease of use as the primary objective.
  • Previews are available for all themes and components.
  • Basic global wallpaper packages from before
  • Detailed logging for if you get stuck, in the Theme-Manager.pak/Logs directory
  • Completely overhauled directory structure. Now, all exports go to the Exports directory now.

What's Not Included

  • Theme downloads via Github (coming soon)
  • .icon, .acc, .led, and .font packages are currently being rebuild from scratch. In the meantime, feel free to build some yourself and apply them! We may kindly ask for them later....
  • Direct in-app customization was nixed due to software limitations, with the goal being modular theme application of pre-built solutions for your entire device. Much like the OnionOS theme manager, except on steroids.

If you have any glaring issues with this build, please create a Git issue with detailed information of what you tried and what failed, especially in the UI. The best way to get it fixed is to clear your log file in the Theme-Manager.pak/Logs directory, recreate the issue, then attach the cleaned log file in your issue request so that we can see what the issue might be!
