Patch Notes: Loot that stays yours
Other players' kills
- A party member's kill no longer reads "Empty" when it is full. Press it and you open the body like any other: you see what is in it and take what you choose, piece by piece, with Take all, or with Quick Loot.
- Taking from a body someone else killed can no longer wipe out their loot. A slow connection used to destroy the pieces in transit; a take now lands exactly once, however late the answer comes, and two players taking the same piece at the same moment get one copy between them - the second hears "Someone took that first."
- Anything you put into another player's kill comes back to you when you close the window, even if they left or lost connection while it was open.
- The same goes for foes killed inside a building.
Cupboards and chests
- A building's cupboards and chests are one shared list for everyone inside. Closing a window no longer brings back an item someone else took, and no longer erases one someone else put in. Two players opening a cupboard at the same moment now see the same contents, and nothing either of them took or put in is lost when the game settles on one.
- Taking part of a stack from someone else's cupboard can no longer leave you with a copy when another player took it first.
- An item you put into a cupboard that the building's host never accepted (an older game version) comes back to you when you leave.
- Take all and Stash all on a cupboard land every piece, however many there are.
Dungeon search spots and Take all
- A find from a coffin or other search spot is shared by your party the same way a dungeon pile is: one list, one copy of each piece, no matter who closes their window first.
- Two separate groups searching the same coffin each loot their own find.
- Searching a spot again after its five hours locks it for your whole party again.
- Take all on a long dungeon list now always lands every piece. A pile from a newer game version shows its name instead of "Empty".
- Putting a stack into a dungeon pile and taking part of it back no longer loses the rest.
- Players on an older version of the game still see the old behaviour in the same room; reloading the page brings them onto the new rules.
