Patch Notes: Revenant Stars
A star tree for each sworn revenant
- Every sworn revenant now has its own star tree, built like the Firmament and the Captain's Stars. Open the Companions page (pause menu, Holdings) and press Stars on a companion's card.
- The card shows its level and how many stars it has to set ("Level 3 · 2 stars to set").
- Levels:
- A revenant earns XP from fights won at your side (more for stronger foes).
- It also earns XP from missions it comes home from (more for longer, more dangerous provinces), but only until level 10.
- It goes up to level 20.
- Points: it gets one point per level after the first, and one per rank past the first. A Rank V revenant starts with 4 points to spend, and can reach 23.
- When a revenant reaches a new level, a message tells you it has a star to set.
Three aspects around the Oath
- The Blade: health and damage. Its keystones are Deathless (+25% health, -10% damage) and Bloodrage (+20% damage, -10% health).
- The Grave: its art.
- Stars make its art stronger (up to +40%) and its cooldowns shorter (up to 25%).
- Awakened Art teaches a revenant born without an art one of its kind's arts, at 75% of a born art's strength.
- Its keystone is Grave Pact (+15% art strength, -10% health).
- The Road: missions and loyalty.
- Better mission odds, more gold and materials (up to +40%, never more gear pieces), and missions up to 15% shorter.
- Smaller loyalty losses and shorter rests.
- Its keystones are Fortune's Road and Undying Vigil:
- Fortune's Road: +30% haul, but a mission that goes badly brings back nothing. It pays for a strong revenant and costs a weak one.
- Undying Vigil: rests 30% shorter, loyalty losses 20% smaller, missions 10% longer.
How the tree works
- It uses the same window as the Captain's Stars: click a star to take it and the stars on the way to it, and right-click to remove it. Changes are pending until you press Accept.
- The QuickDial key asks before it closes a tree with stars not yet accepted.
- Changing stars is free at any time, except while the revenant is abroad on a mission.
- Health and damage change at once, and taking a star back takes its health back too.
- A mission keeps the stars the revenant set out with.
- The mission sheet shows each trip's length for that revenant, in hours when its stars shorten the road.
- A revenant that deserts or betrays you loses its stars with its oath.
Sworn arts
- However many Menders are at your side, together they heal you at most once a minute (every 45 seconds with a fully hasted Grave).
- A Siphon now gives you a quarter of the life it draws (it was a third).
- Mending's cooldown is now given in seconds.
