Patch Notes: The off hand and the Thunderlock
Combat
- Under Physical Combat And Armor Overhaul (on by default), a weapon in your left hand no longer rolls a shield block. Dual wielding gives up the shield's block, as intended. An iron off-hand weapon had been blocking like a leather shield, taking 5-8% off the damage a nimble character took. Shields block as before.
Morrowind models
- Dual wielding in first person: the left-hand weapon is now the exact mirror of the right, in the left fist the way the right weapon sits in the right. Before, it could stand well off, depending on your Morrowind first-person skeleton. Third person is unchanged.
- The Dwarven Thunderlock is held like a rifle.
- The right hand holds it by its pistol grip and the left hand supports the forend.
- At rest it's carried at a low ready: the muzzle down and across toward the left foot.
- It comes up to a level ready stance while you shoot, for a few seconds after, and while foes are hurting you, then lowers again.
- This applies in third person and in first person, and the Hourlock is held the same way.
What's Changed
- Off hand and Thunderlock on the Morrowind body: no off-hand shield block, a mirrored first-person pair, the Thunderlock held as a long gun by @Lattymoy in #972
