Patch Notes: Field fixes - companions, family trees, salvage, sailing
Companions
- Companions no longer get in the way. When one stands between you and a body, a loot pile, your ship's helm, a door or a container within reach, clicking uses that object instead of opening their inventory. With nothing usable behind them, clicking still opens their pack, and the on-screen label shows which one a click will use.
- With Morrowind data attached, crew companions and sworn revenants keep their own race, face and clothes through every door, dungeon and reload, and other players see them the same way. A revenant is the same person every time it returns.
Family trees
- Passing the mantle online can no longer overwrite a sibling with the new heir's name and class.
- Heirs resumed from the Online page now start at the family seat instead of Privateer's Hold.
- A home you own on a farm or manor can now be made your family seat, and family members met there begin their story there.
Salvage
- Classic Daggerfall magic items (guild-shop and Item Maker pieces, like a "Blazing Holy Dagger of Fireballs") now appear on the Salvage page marked "Classic magic" and explain why they give no shards, instead of silently missing.
Sailing
- After crossing the Veil, a ship too heavily loaded to move now says so ("You're going to need a bigger boat"), where the crossing banner used to hide it. Everything you carry, gold and wagon included, counts against a ship's hold.
