Patch Notes: Card tables out of the way
Taverns
- A tavern's card tables no longer stand in corridors, doorways or the mouth of an opening. At The Gold Dungeon in Menakat the table stood in the one corridor joining the inn's two halves and shut the back half off; at The Dancing Castle in Pilliweyn the red gold table stood across the hall's way east. Both are fixed, and so is every other tavern laid out like them.
- A tavern with no floor for a table that is out of the way now has no card table (about one tavern in ten), and some keep only the green chips table where they had both. Almost every table that stays stands exactly where it stood.
Patch Notes: Snow, trades and ore
Boss attacks show through deep snow
Foes' ground telegraphs, like a revenant's blast circle, now always draw on top of deep snow. Before, the snow buried them outdoors in winter. Your own technique marks are fixed the same way.
If you would rather not have deep snow at all, turn it off at Settings › Graphics › Sky, water & weather › Snowfall by demifiend000. Searching the settings for "deep snow" also finds it.
A letter of credit's worth, at a glance
In a trade with another player, each letter of credit now shows its worth on its own row ("Worth 12,500 gold"). That covers your pack, your offer and theirs, and works on touch without hovering or clicking. The item card shows it too, as Worth.
Ore veins you can tell apart
Copper, Silver, Platinum, Moonstone, Dwarven Scrap, Mithril, Adamantium, Ebony and Orichalcum veins each have their own colour now. Lead and Lodestone keep their classic look.
The world map knows its ore
Online, point at open ground on the world map to see a card listing:
- the ores its veins can be;
- what its dungeons' deep veins hold;
- its kingdom's own ore (Daggerfall's Moonstone, Sentinel's Ebony, Wayrest's Mithril, and so on);
- whether that ground is witnessed yet.
Gold, Platinum, Mithril, Ebony and a kingdom's own ore only appear on ground that three different players have gathered on (each account at least a week old). That's because the servers can't check which land a player claims to be standing on. The card shows which ores are waiting on that for each place. The Mining page now points to it.
