Patch Notes: House votes, and vendors at their own size

Vote on other players' homes

  • Walk up to another player's home and its door now offers Vote up and Vote down. Once you've voted, that row becomes "Take back your vote up" (or down). On a touch screen, on the Classic interface, or with World Tooltips off, click the door in Info mode to vote.
  • Each account has one vote per home. You can't vote on your own home, your own guild's hall, or a house given by a Knightly Order. You need to have had a username and password for at least a week to vote, and you can cast up to 30 votes an hour. Taking a vote back is always allowed.
  • If a home's votes add up to less than zero, other players see it as Daggerfall built it: no placed decorations inside, nothing outside, and the town's own paint. A hired trader with goods on sale stays open for business. The owner, and a hall's guild members, still see everything. Nothing is deleted, and the decorations come back once the total is back to zero or above.
  • Once a home has votes, its door shows the total. Its owner is told, at the door or in the Info box, when the decorations are hidden.
  • If you voted on a guild hall before joining that guild, you can still take that vote back.

Vendors and other people stand at their own size

  • People you place with the decorator (the Vendors list), inside or in a yard, can no longer be resized. Smaller and Bigger are gone for them.
  • People placed earlier at another size now stand at their normal size. Moving one sets it to normal size. One that was enlarged gives back half the price difference, as shrinking any piece does; one that was shrunk costs nothing to move.

What's Changed

  • DECOR-FIGURE + HOME-VOTE: vendors placed as decor stand at their own size; a town's votes hide a shunned home's decor from other players by @Lattymoy in #762
