Patch Notes: Loading screens and the Screenshots gallery
Loading screens
- Loads now have a face. Starting or continuing a game, going online, a dungeon's door, a fast travel, a guild teleport, Recall, a respawn and a save loaded in play all show a loading screen: where you are headed, what the game is doing, and a running bar.
- The screen stands on one of your own screenshots, with where and when you took it - or, with none, on the main menu's night sky and a tip.
- It never covers something you need to see: character creation, the pause menu, a level-up and the dream videos all come first, and the screen comes back only if the world is still loading.
- Choose Your screenshots, Night sky or Off on the new Loading screens tile under Features (Interface). The Classic UI is unchanged.
Screenshots
- The screenshot key (F8 by default) now also keeps every shot in a gallery in your browser - up to 120, and nothing is ever uploaded.
- A new Screenshots page: on the main menu (bottom right, beside About) and on the pause menu's System tab. Open a shot large, choose which ones appear on loading screens, save one to your files, delete one, or add pictures from your computer.
- A switch on that page decides whether the key still downloads a PNG as well (on, as before).
What's Changed
- LOAD1: enhanced loading screens over the player's own screenshots, and a Screenshots gallery in the menu by @Lattymoy in #622
