Patch Notes: Readable Text
Easier to read
- Text is easier to read across the Enhanced interface. Letters are drawn slightly heavier and a little further
apart, so small text no longer blurs into grey at the edges. - No more tiny text. Labels, counts, key hints and badges that were drawn at 9 or 10 pixels are now at least 11,
the smallest size the pixel font draws cleanly. That covers the hotbar's key letters (and its stack counts on a phone), the
inventory's quickslot marks, the Features rail, the party frames, the chat's tags and times, and the naval HUD. - Grey text is brighter. The dim grey used for secondary text (hints, notes, labels, counts) was too dark to read
comfortably on the dark panels. It is lighter now, and still clearly quieter than the main text.
One font everywhere
- Every Enhanced screen now uses the Enhanced pixel font (three exceptions below). Several places were still using older fonts:
- the Features, Overhauls and About pages
- character creation's skills and questions
- the detail lines on an inventory item's card
- the controller bindings headings and the controller prompt bar
- the death screen
- the burning-ground warning at Dagon's Breach
- the opening film's credits and buttons
- the asset pickers (music, sounds, lighting, Morrowind bodies)
- Text that was still drawn in the 1996 font under Enhanced is now in the Enhanced font:
- the prison countdown
- the Come Sail Away position map's help lines and marker labels
- Fixed: in dungeons, a readied spell was named twice, once by the HUD and once by an old line in the classic
font. Only the HUD names it now. - Kept in their own fonts on purpose:
- the account recovery code, which has to be copied onto paper exactly - the pixel font draws B and 8, G and 6, and
S and 5 too much alike - the pages of books, which stay in the readable book serif
- the place names lettered on the map
- the account recovery code, which has to be copied onto paper exactly - the pixel font draws B and 8, G and 6, and
- Long labels that had to squeeze into small boxes (the ship's battery counts, party members' locations, the hotbar's
key letters on a phone, the accessory shelves) were fitted so the bigger text still fits.
Patch Notes: Timers
The hourglass
- A new Timers window, online. An hourglass now sits next to your profile icon on the pause menu. Press it to see
every shared event in the world with a live countdown:- Dagon's Breach - when the next one opens, and while one stands, when it seals and when it collapses
- Town raids - every raid in your own region, when it starts and when the raiders withdraw, plus the next raid
anywhere else and how many more are coming today - The Sunday Turning - the seat week's settlement at Sunday 18:00 UTC, and the Reckoning on Friday 18:00 UTC
when pledges lock (for players the guild seats are open to) - This week's battles - every scheduled siege, tourney and revolt, with who is fighting whom, and the Royal
Tourney while one runs - The Season's end, when one is under way
- The resets - when new bounty hunts and raids roll, and the daily reset at 00:00 UTC
- Events running now are listed first with the time until they end; everything else follows, soonest first.
- Times are shown in your own clock, and the countdowns tick live while the window is open.
- Tap outside the window or press Escape (or B on a controller) to close it and return to the pause menu.
- The window works with a keyboard and a controller, fits phones in both orientations, and reads clearly on every
Enhanced Plus colour theme.
