Patch Notes: Regenerate in PvP, Destruction in PvP, gear powers in PvP, Portal Stones, werewolves, and changes to bows
Regenerate on the PvP spell bar
The PvP spells menu has Regenerate now. It replaces Cure. Regenerate heals 2 to 4 percent of maximum health every 5 seconds for 1 minute. Your Restoration skill sets the amount. The cost is 10 percent of your maximum magicka.
You can cast it on yourself, or on a party member in front of you to 15 meters. The PvP heal limit includes Regenerate. If Cure was on your bar, Regenerate is in that slot now.
The PvP flag button moved
The PvP flag button is above the middle of the right edge now. It does not cover the Decorate button.
Fast bow shots are less accurate and do less damage
If you shoot a bow fast, your arrows go less straight. A ring on the crosshair shows the area where the arrow can go. The ring gets larger with each fast shot, to a maximum of 8 degrees. When you stop, the ring gets smaller and goes away.
Each arrow that you shoot less than 1 second after the last arrow does 20 percent less damage. This decrease adds up to a maximum of 80 percent. If you wait 1 second, your next arrow does full damage. This rule is for monsters and for players.
Short bows and long bows are different
A Short Bow does full damage if you wait 0.75 seconds between arrows. Its ring also gets smaller more quickly. A Long Bow does full damage only if you wait 1.25 seconds. But each Long Bow arrow does 50 percent more damage. Thus the two bows do almost the same damage over time.
Destruction sets PvP spell damage
In PvP, the Damage spell on the PvP bar now gets its damage from your Destruction skill. Your level does not change it. Gear that adds Destruction also adds damage. Critical Strike can then increase the hit, as before. A spell from your spellbook that hits a player gets the same limit.
Gear powers work against players
In PvP, the powers on your gear now work against other players. The damage lines and gems on your weapon or Hand Wraps increase your hits. Most Legendary powers and imprints that increase a hit also work. Examples are Way of the Sword, Open Hand, Many Endings and First Blood. All gear together can increase a hit by a maximum of 40 percent.
Powers that decrease damage to you also work against players. Examples are Dawnward, Last Stand, Bedrock, Hex and Bulwark. All of them together can decrease a hit by a maximum of 30 percent.
A power or a line against a type of monster does not work against players. Powers that heal you, or that save you from death, do not work against players yet.
Higher skills count in PvP
In PvP, a skill with gear now counts to 1,100. Before, it stopped at 1,000.
Portal Stones in the PvP zone
You can use a Portal Stone anywhere in the PvP zone, flagged or not. You cannot use it for 60 seconds after a PvP hit. You cannot use it when a monster attacks you. A monster near you does not stop it.
Werewolves keep their Hand Wraps
When you change into a werewolf, your Hand Wraps stay on. Your claws use their damage, gems, skills and enchantments. Other weapons come off, as before.
As a werewolf, you can loot bodies and piles. One press takes all the items. You can drink potions from your hotbar. You cannot open your inventory.
