Patch Notes: Crafting, ships, gear, the wardrobe and the hunt
The Crafting page
- A new Crafting page is in the menu, next to the Professions page.
- When you stand at a station, the Professions key opens the Crafting page at that station.
- Each station shows your rank in its craft, a bar to the next rank, and your experience.
Progress and first-time bonuses
- The Professions page shows a bar for each profession.
- The Professions page shows each task that gives experience, and how much each task gives at your rank.
- The game now records which first-time bonuses you received. Each pattern shows First-time bonus or Made before.
- The Professions page shows how many first-time bonuses you received. It also shows the bonuses that you can get at your rank.
- A craft at its limit shows no first-time bonuses, because they give no experience.
Filters and repeat crafts
- The anvil, the workbench, the loom and the Provisioning fire have three filters: All, Can make now and First-time bonus.
- Craft x N makes the same item up to 10 times. It stops when you do not have the materials or the gold.
Help text
- The help text for each craft is shorter and easier to read.
Master's work
- A character at rank 100 in Smithing, Building or Outfitting can make one Master's work each day.
- A Master's work is a Legendary item. You choose its three lines. The game sets the value of each line in the Legendary range.
- One line at most can be an effect. A Master's work has no Legendary power.
- It uses the materials of the recipe, the fee of the station, 2 Heartwood, 3 Pearls and 10 Arcane Essence.
- The item maker does not accept Legendary items.
Ships
- Each port has two to four boats that catch fish each day. The boats go out to sea in the morning and come back in the evening.
- There are two new ship classes: Fishing Skiff and Fishing Smack.
- A ship that you book for a passage now sails to the quay of its port.
- If a ship that does not move blocks the quay for 40 seconds, you go ashore as before. If a ship that moves blocks the quay, your ship waits for 2 minutes at most.
- On a fast ship, the land ahead now loads in time.
- Aldbrugh now has a quay.
- Online, one character at a time can hire each recruit at a crew hall. The crew hall does not show the recruits that other characters hired today.
- The members of your party who are aboard your ship now cross the Veil with you. They pay no fare.
Gear keeps its strength
- New content does not make your gear old. No item line goes above the top of the Legendary range. No new rarity comes above Gilded.
- Each type of damage bonus now has a limit. The bonuses from sigils, sets, Legendary items and other powers also have one limit together.
- Damage reductions have the same two types of limit. No gear that you have now goes above these limits.
- Spells keep their own limits.
- A set piece below the highest stage that you wore its set at gets three times the sigil XP. This stops when the piece is at that stage.
- The set card shows 3x XP next to the piece that holds the set back.
Wardrobe
- Each armor piece, shield and weapon that you hold adds its appearance to your collection.
- A Clothing Store, an Armorer and a Weaponsmith have a Wardrobe. It gives an item that you wear an appearance that you collected from an item of the same type.
- An appearance costs gold. To remove an appearance costs no gold.
- An appearance does not change the strength of the item. Other players see the appearance.
- The Wardrobe shows your character with the appearance before you pay.
- The Collections page has a new Appearances part.
Hunter rank
- Online, each bounty that you complete adds to your hunter rank. There are six ranks, from Unblooded to Huntmaster.
- At the rank Stalker and higher, each bounty board shows a named beast each week. A named beast is an elite enemy with two boss traits.
- A named beast gives the gold of three bounty groups and a Mounted Trophy. You can put a Mounted Trophy on a wall of your home.
- The Trophy Hunter choice in Hunting now works. A clean pelt of a beast of grade 5 or 6 gives a Mounted Trophy.
- A bounty that you complete in a region can give influence to the seat of that region. Your war guild must pledge to that seat, and you must be a member for 7 days or more.
- Each week, 10 bounties at most give influence.
- The members of your party see the name of a named beast.
Online play
- An older copy of the game cannot go into a dungeon, a building or the open world online. Update the game to play online.
Titles and collections
- There are 16 new titles. Four are for bounties, ten are for a Master in each profession, and two are for Sea Serpents.
- The Collections page has three new parts: Trophies, Fish and Annals.
Patch Notes: Fixes from your private reports
Thank you for your private reports. We read all 293 of them. This update fixes the problems in 103 of them.

- Gold and items that you take from a shared home chest can no longer stay in the chest too.
- In the window of a shared home chest, you cannot use, salvage or dismantle an item. Close the chest first.
- In the window of a shared home chest, a map moves as an item. It does not show its location there.
- The owner of a home can always change the access of a chest. A guest who has the chest open cannot stop this.
- A crafter can no longer take back a crafted item after a trade or a sale to another player.
- A staff unfreeze now covers only the problem that the staff looked at.

- A party member who comes back online in an instance no longer goes offline for good.
- A poor connection no longer causes the game to disconnect you after a stall, also during a fight.

- A lost connection during a market delivery no longer sends you to the title screen.
- The "Bought" message of a trader no longer says that a piece is in your pack before it arrives.
- You can delete a character with a purchase on its way again after you play it once.

- The List form of the market and the guild Stores now tell you which materials they cannot take, and why.
- A stolen item for sale on the market, at a home trader or on the Vendor page now shows that it is stolen. A stolen item in a trade with another player shows it too.

Items and loot
- Items on a shop or guild counter are no longer lost if the game closes while the counter is open.
- Rare, Legendary and other rarity gear that its own enchantment wears out now breaks and stays in your inventory. You can repair it.
- A dungeon loot pile from another version of the game now says that another player has a different version.
- When the room does not confirm a take from a shared loot pile, the game tells you that the item went back.
- In a dungeon where a group rested many times, the bodies of ambushers no longer disappear for the other players.
- On the classic inventory look, the items that you take from or put into a shared chest now stay.
- A worn item with Cast When Used on the hotbar, such as a jewel or a robe, now casts its spell. If the item also gives armor or another power, the first push puts it on.

Quests
- You can always abandon a quest that keeps the door of a guild shut, also when its journal is empty.

- You can now pick up the spoils of a Redoubt in the Battlespire.
- If your game window is in the background when an Elite Breach moves to its next level, you now go there too.
- Crowded events no longer break the sound. The quietest and farthest sounds stop first. Your own sounds always play.
