Patch Notes: World events, boss traits and town raids
World events are fairer
- Regeneration works in the Burning Court, the Shattered Hour, the Spire and the Sky-Ketch. Every natural source heals at half strength there, and not at all for 5 seconds after you are hurt.
- You can Resurrect party members in every world event:
- The Shattered Hour: a party member standing at your body has 60 seconds to raise you before your death counts for good.
- The Spire and the Sky-Ketch: when you die while a companion is standing, you lie where you fell for 60 seconds instead of falling at once. A party member's Resurrect stands you back up in the fight. In the Spire, press Enter to give up and fall.
- On the Enhanced HUD, a new tile on the status row names the event you are in. Hover over it (with the cursor free) to read its rules and see when your regeneration resumes.
Bosses with traits
- Elite foes have one trait and raid leaders have two:
- Warded: a ward absorbs hits first, and grows back if you stop hitting it.
- Flameproof, Frostproof, Venomproof, Stormproof, Spellproof: spells of that element do a quarter of their damage.
- Blade-turning: blades and arrows do half damage. Stoneskinned: blunt weapons and fists do half damage.
- Curbing: no single hit can take more than 5% of its health.
- Wrathful: hits much harder once a fight has gone on for 75 seconds.
- Thorned: sends part of every weapon hit back at you.
- The world bosses (the Oblivion Gate's lord, the Remnant, the Spire's lords, Valkynaz) have two: one elemental resistance, and Blade-turning, Stoneskinned or Thorned.
- A foe's traits show under its name on the target frame, with its ward's strength. Hover over a trait to read what it does. The first time you meet a trait, its rule is said once.
- A resisted hit's floating number shows what landed, marked Resisted.
Town raids have kinds
- Assault: raiders come in waves, with a pause between each. The last wave is the party's leader, who fights alone with two boss traits.
- Siege of the Standard: keep the town's Standard-Bearer alive in the square. If he is killed, the raiders sack the town.
- Exodus: guide three refugees through the streets to the square while the raiders hunt them. Your own blows pass them by.
- Raid: the classic raid, as before.
- A town you hold (the leader killed, the standard still standing, or two refugees saved) gives more reputation, half again the gold and one extra Magic-or-better item.
- On the event board, a live raid of a kind shows its kind in its title and how its objective stands.
