Patch Notes: World Events board
A board for world events
- Dagon's Breach, the sea serpent, the Abyss Dungeon, fallen stars and town raids now show on a World Events board at the left of the screen, not in the chat.
- Each event shows its time left (or time until it starts), how far away it is, which way to go, and where it is. A raid under way also shows how many raiders are down.
- The board only lists events you can still join. Up to four show on a tall screen and three on a smaller one. The rest are counted with a pointer to the Timers window.
News when events start
- When an event is about to start, and again when it begins, its news opens at the top of the board for a few seconds. The event's own messages are added to it, such as a star being claimed or a town being cleansed.
- Every gate, serpent, Abyss Dungeon and fallen star is announced to everyone. A raid is announced if you are in its region or within 25 km of it.
- Every event message is also saved in your journal.
Earlier warnings
- Every fallen star's town is named 10 minutes before it falls, everywhere in the Bay. Before, the town was named 90 seconds ahead and only in its own region.
- Raids are named 15 minutes before they start, including raids early in the game day.
Fits your screen
- The board places itself under the chat and above your buffs, hotbar and quick slots, and follows your HUD scale.
- If there is no room for it, the news shows on the screen's message line instead.
- Under Enhanced Plus you can move the board or hide it in the HUD editor.
- To turn it off, go to Settings, Interface, Messages & prompts, Event board. With it off, event messages go back to the chat, and raid messages go back to the message line.
