Patch Notes: Steadier enemies online, and a lighter frame
Enemies stay in sync
- In busy areas, other players' enemies no longer die for one player and stay alive for another, or vanish when the player who controls them leaves, dies or goes through a door.
- At a crowded Starfall, every player's enemies now reach everyone in turn - including the player who controls the star's waves, whose enemies could go unseen by others before.
- Enemies controlled by a slow or lagging player now move smoothly for everyone else instead of freezing and jumping.
- On a slow computer with other players nearby, enemies keep pace with your character instead of moving at half speed - outdoors, in buildings and in dungeons, and the town watch with them.
Smoother frame rate
- Ships far out at sea, other players' boats and your own moored boats far away cost much less to draw.
- Horses - other players', strangers' on the road and those standing in towns - are only animated in full when you can see them, and a horse that comes into view is drawn in its current stride.
- Grass no longer stutters while riding or running fast on a slower computer, and fills in around you even when you arrive at speed.
What's Changed
- FIELD BUGS 2026-10-21c: enemy desync and a player's CPU profile - full foes frames first and held for their turn, the owner's clock in every host, far boats, seen horses, the grass on the move (relay world239, audited twice) by @Lattymoy in #1103
