Patch Notes: Your own repairs raise loot's sell price again
Selling repaired loot
- Online, mending a looted weapon or piece of armour yourself raises its sell price again. A merchant pays for the condition it was found at, plus a third of what your own repair kits, Repairs Objects and the Varla Stone mended past that.
- Example: one field kit on a Daedric cuirass found at 47% raises its sale from 22,350 to 24,727 gold (Mercantile 30, Personality 40, a quality-10 shop).
- A smith's repair still doesn't raise a found piece's sell price, whichever shop, region or guild discount you use. Repair at a smith to use your gear, not to sell it.
- Wear after you find a piece still lowers its price. Offline prices are unchanged.
Fixes
- An enchanted found piece now sells at the Mages Guild for its found condition, not as if it were undamaged.
- Hired-trader patrons now pay less for worn pieces, the same way shops do.
- Tempering a found piece no longer lowers its sell price.
- A worn book you find no longer becomes undamaged when it stacks with, or splits from, another copy.
What's Changed
- MEND-THIRD + AUDIT: an owner's own mends sell for a third; the fence, the patrons and the found mark closed by @Lattymoy in #1058
