Patch Notes: The Jungle of Bantha, and rain and snow that follow the air
The Jungle of Bantha
- Hammerfell's south-eastern shore, from Lainlyn and Satakalaam east to Mournoth, is now dense jungle: giant trees close overhead with taller ones breaking through, young trees and palms fill the light gaps, and the floor is carpeted in ferns, broad leaves and grass.
- A humid haze hangs under the canopy, thickest at dawn and in rain, and it thins as you climb out of it.
- On by default: switch it in the Features menu under "The world" ("Jungle of Bantha"). It is always on when playing online.
Rain and snow follow the air
- What falls now depends on the air where you stand: its climate, the season, the hour and your height. Cold peaks get snow, warm lowlands get rain, and sleet falls in between, so one storm can rain in a valley and snow on the ridge above it.
- Snow settles where it falls and melts as the air warms. In a thaw, white mountains stand over green valleys.
- The jungle rains the year round, and the Alik'r Desert almost never sees a flake.
- This applies to the enhanced look only; the classic look keeps Daggerfall's own weather.
Fixes
- A hard, smooth arc that could cut across the sky at dusk is gone.
