⚠️ Critical for self-hosters on v0.67.1
v0.68.0 fails to boot on any database that ran v0.67.1, crashing with Migration checksum mismatch for 2026-05-25-b-audit-log-checksum-chain.sql. This release unblocks the v0.67.1 → v0.68.x upgrade path. Hosted EU/US were not affected (they never recorded the changed migrations). All self-hosters on v0.67.1 should upgrade directly to v0.68.1.
Fixed
- Migration checksum mismatch blocks upgrade from v0.67.1. PR #994 edited two already-shipped audit migrations in place (
2026-05-25-b-audit-log-checksum-chain.sqland-c-…-canonical-fix.sql, changing::bytea→convert_to(payload,'UTF8')). TheautoMigratechecksum guard refuses to boot when an applied migration's content has changed, so databases that recorded the originals crashed on upgrade. Added a tightly-scopedCHECKSUM_RECONCILIATIONSallowlist inautoMigrate.tsthat heals the recorded checksum for these two specific files only — and only when the recorded value is exactly the old checksum and the current file is exactly the new one. Any other mismatch still throws, and fresh installs / databases that never recorded the originals are untouched. No new migration ships (the guard throws before migrations run, so a migration couldn't fix it) (#998).
