Kopuz gets Material 3 styling, dynamic colors and ReplayGain volume normalization. Android settings are easier to navigate, track menus are more consistent, and playback keeps going when the desktop app is in the background.
Highlights
A new look with Material 3. Choose Material 3 in Appearance settings for rounded surfaces, updated controls and Roboto typography. The new System colors theme draws from Android’s system palette, your desktop wallpaper or album artwork. On macOS, it follows album artwork (#745).
More consistent volume. ReplayGain adds Track, Album and Auto modes, with clipping prevention, preamp controls and a default gain for untagged music. Gain values can come from file tags or Jellyfin and Subsonic servers (#730).
Android settings fit the screen. Settings now opens with a list of categories, with grouped controls and dropdowns that open as bottom sheets. Action menus also use bottom sheets, and swiping the album cover skips tracks (#740).
Familiar actions everywhere. Track and album menus now share consistent actions and wording across the library, queue, player and home page, with options matched to what each source supports (#737).
Fixes
- Fixed YouTube tracks failing to load when range requests are refused. These tracks fall back to sequential playback, with seeking unavailable (#735).
- Fixed playback waiting for the desktop window to regain focus before advancing to the next track (#736).
- Fixed inconsistent lyric blur and made hovered lines readable (#736).
- Prevented crashes caused by overlapping or invalid lyric timestamps (#745).
- Fixed missing artist credits on OpenSubsonic collaborations, including Navidrome (#738).
- Fixed repeated page titles, excess padding and incorrect headers on Android (#740).
- Fixed overlapping text and controls in source settings (#745).
- Loaded styles and fonts earlier to prevent an unstyled first frame and reduce startup styling delays (#745).
