A terminal-styled rebuild, plus the two things that actually bit people.
New
"Did it work?" The usual failure mode is silent - you install, you play, the game just looks the same. Press this after playing and it reads dlss5-feed.log and ReShade.log back and tells you in plain words what happened: whether the shader loaded, whether motion vectors are alive, whether the DLSS feature was created, whether frames are being delivered, and what to try if not.
Self-update. When a newer release exists a bar appears at the top; Update now downloads it, checks it is a real 64-bit build, swaps the executable and restarts. The previous build is kept as .old.exe.
New look. Cascadia Mono throughout, amber on near-black, bracket step markers, a clickable step rail down the left.
Fixed
GitHub rate limiting no longer blocks installs. GitHub allows 60 anonymous API calls an hour per IP address - easy to hit behind a VPN, a campus network or CGNAT, and it produced a raw traceback. API answers are now cached on disk and reused when a live call fails. Verified with the API fully blocked and a 48-hour-old cache: the install completed and said the version list was stale.
Reinstalling could lose a game's own nvngx_dlss.dll. On a second install over the same game the backup entry was dropped from the new manifest, so uninstall could not restore it. Fixed and covered by a test.
The work-area slider was doing nothing on most games. It is honoured on the 64-bit D3D11 path only - the add-on's own log says settled D3D11 work resolution=…%. On DX12, OpenGL and the 32-bit helper it is ignored, so the slider is now disabled there with the reason shown, instead of pretending.
Downloads resume from a partial file instead of restarting 150 MB, and a failed install now records what it wrote so Uninstall can clean up after it.
Still honest about
DX11/DX12 is the reliable path. DirectX 9, OpenGL and 32-bit games go through translation or a cross-process helper and often fail at CreateFeature - the tool labels each game's outlook rather than pretending. Vulkan is not supported. Never use any of this in an online game.
