New bindings released as Beta
New python bindings based on pybind11/scikit buildcore. These bindings are released as beta: 0.9.7b1. The versioning follows the same release version + 0.2, + b{n} as suffix.
- the beta release must be explicitly installed
- all deprecated methods are removed, the beta only supports the new names
- otherwise the beta version fully supports the existing python API
