SpamBlocker Extended 6.2.0
New:
- Contacts and Database now apply to Notifications: phone numbers in a screened app's notification Title or Body are checked against your contacts and the spam database, with no Number Rule needed. "Block non-contacts" can dismiss notifications from unknown senders, e.g. RCS or WhatsApp.
- Contacts (Allow and Block separately) and Database have Calls / SMS / MMS / Title / Body chips to choose what they apply to. All are on by default, except Body for blocking non-contacts.
- A contact's number in the Title wins over a blocked number in the Body.
- FAQ: new Calls, SMS and Notifications sections; Priority, RegEx and Import Numbers rewritten to be shorter.
- New Wiki button. FAQ, Wiki and About are now always at the bottom of Settings.
Improvements:
- Basic Rules order: Contacts, Database, STIR.
- The Notification test in Rule Testing now checks exactly what real screening checks.
- Non-Contacts only dismisses a notification whose Title is the sender's number (e.g. "+1 555-123-4567" or "Voicemail from +1 555-123-4567"), not titles like "Order 12345678 shipped".
- Translations for the new and updated help in all languages, plus the Calls / Notifications / Title / Body labels.
Fixes:
- Rule Testing posted two notifications for a notification test, without its Title.
- Duplicate history records for a notification, e.g. with Voicemail Notification.
- Group summary notifications (e.g. "2 new messages") are no longer dismissed, which also dismissed the allowed messages in the group.
