TL;DR
This release continues the encrypted vault bounty challenge.
Inside is a live Monero wallet with up to 12 XMR.
The bounty grows by +1 XMR each month it remains unclaimed (max 12 XMR).
Break the vault, recover the seed, and the funds are yours.
What’s New in v1.0.8
UI/UX Fixes: Cleaned up CSS errors in the recovery flow.
Best Practices: Added guidance on the index screen to help users select stronger answers and avoid common mistakes.
General Polish: Minor improvements across styling and responsiveness.
Overview
The bounty vault is locked with Memoro Vault’s layered encryption model:
Argon2id key derivation (mobile-friendly but memory-hard).
AES-GCM encryption (Rust/WASM backend).
Static question order enforced at build time.
Trap and red-herring question support.
A view-only wallet is included so anyone can verify the balance without spending rights.
Community Contributions
Anyone can increase the stakes:
A QR code (Bounty_Donation_Address.png, v1.0.8_QR_Lite_Bounty.pdf) is included.
Send XMR directly to the bounty wallet.
Larger prize = more eyes on the challenge.
End of Challenge
If the vault is not cracked within 12 months, the developer will reclaim the funds using the original seed. No coins will be left permanently locked.
Security Model Highlights
Argon2id with tuned parameters (~4 MB memory, fast mobile recovery).
AES-GCM with 256-bit keys, via Rust/WASM.
Static answer order baked into the vault.
Trap and red-herring question mechanics.
Cross-platform builds: Windows .exe, Linux .AppImage, .deb, .rpm.
SHA-256 checksums and GPG .asc signatures included for all binaries.
This is the official v1.0.8 bounty release. The challenge continues. Good luck!
